What is The All-American

Soap Box Derby?

The Soap Box Derby is a youth racing program which has run nationally since 1934. World Championship finals are held each summer at Derby Downs in Akron, Ohio.  This is a unique program for boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 17 that encourages close adult-youth activities while building and racing a gravity powdered car together. The youth are encouraged to do as much of the work as their ability will permit. Good sportsmanship, spending quality time together, and having fun is what it is all about!

Become a Sponsor!
We are looking for individual or company sponsors to help the Kitsap Soap Box Derby Association update current Club Cars and to purchase new Club Cars so that no child is turned away from racing. Also accepting cash donations and in-kind gifts. (In need of new walkie talkies, bungee cords, and an
electric generator for or speaker system.) Please contact Race Director, Mike Barry to make a donation.
Thank you for your support!
